We all know that crafters have a slight problem with over buying supplies. But once you cross over from crafter into business woman it’s time to get serious about using the supplies you have on hand.
I am constantly purchasing new silk flowers for my wreath making business. Flowers make me happy and I love designing with them.

Supplies Needed for Artificial Flower Storage
Shelf Clips for Wire Shelving
level tool
power drill
Small Trash Cans (from the Dollar Tree Store)
Zip-ties
All of the supplies for this Artificial Flower Storage wall can be found at your local home improvement store. Facebook Marketplace is a great place for the wire shelving!
Directions for Installing Artificial Flower Storage
Step One: Plan your Silk Flower Storage Wall
Measure the wall space and decide where to place the wire shelving. Since my ceilings were sloped I used several different lengths of shelving to get maximum storage.
Step Two: Install DIY Flower Wall
Work with a partner to place and level the wire shelving. Use a pencil to mark where to drill the holes for the drywall anchors.
Drill a hole the same size as the drywall anchor supplied in the shelf clip packet. Install drywall anchors by tapping them into place.
Step Three: Add Trash Cans
Drill one or two holes in the top of the plastic trash cans close to the top edge. Use zipties to attach each trash can to the wire shelving.
Staggering the trash cans along the wire shelving will allow maximum artificial flower storage.
Artificial Flower Storage Tip: If you don’t like the where you installed the trash cans then simply remove them by cutting the zip-ties. Try again with a different layout until you have one that works for you!
Step Three: Organize Silk Flowers for Wreath Making
Gather all of your florals and sort them by color or season. Place them into the trash cans on the floral wall.
Being able to visually see all the wreath making supplies I have is AMAZING! I can’t wait to start designing new wreaths to add to my Etsy Shop.

I did something very similar to store my abundance of flowers. Since I live in an apt my storage has to be dual use – both functional & pretty. I also have to make use of space in unique ways. Since I knew my floral storage was going to take up a lot of space I decided to place mine on the back of my front door. Since weight was a concern I decided to use a length of drop cloth attached at the top using 4 over the door hooks. I sewed buttonholes large enough to slip macramé cord though and made hoops just large enough to hold the small trash baskets I’d spray painted an antique gold. I found the fabric wanting to draw inward was solved by sewing strips across the back to make long pockets I was able to slide wood dowels inside. Now I have a gorgeous door that serves as a unique art piece that solved my floral storage problem. Thank you so much for the inspiration!

I am in a massive need to organize my artificial florals and greenery. My craftroom is not usable at the moment bc I have so many, it’s overflowing into my upstairs hallway too. I’m so happy I found this! We have a huge dresser being stored where I plan to do this. It’s moving out in a few days and seeing this was perfect timing! One time for a craft show I bought four wire shelves to stand on the end and tied them togetherIke a column When I realized you couldn’t hang that many wreaths, I returned them after the show. “Learn to return”
I have been trying to find the best storage for my flowers in my She-Shed. Right now they are all in containers on shelves but at my age it’s getting harder and harder to get them down and back up onto shelf ! I already have extra wire shelf racks just hanging in my garage so now it’s time to put them to good use .I was thinking about using a pallet but I love this idea

I use cardboard shoe organizers because I inherited a couple from my sister. My question is… what to do with leftover flowers and greenery? Have had them in a drawer organizer but they’re everything but organized.
I need idea how to make a wood stand on it. The flowers are at my church. With block walls. I can not attach to wall. Thank you.
This wreath easel is my absolute favorite! It’s super light weight which makes it easy to love around my worktable. But it’s also very stable and holds a lot of weight.

Loved the floral storage information and I loved the loopy bow tutorial most. I was about to stop trying to make a bow. To much crying. I am a 69 year old who has retired and needed some thing to do that I thought I might in joy. Now I am ready for your boot camp so I can try bow making again. Donna
